On October 28th, 2008 the Mexican Congress passed by a wide majority an ambitious energy package bill that will optimize and modernize the state-owned oil company, Petroleos Mexicanos (PEMEX).

Mexico Gets Kimberley Process Membership

On November 3-6, 2008 Mexico was welcomed as a participant in the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS) during the Sixth Plenary meeting of the Kimberley Process held in New Delhi, India.
